Tree Climber/Climbing Arborist Foreman

Join our team as a highly skilled lead arborist, leading the crew and directing operations while performing technical climbing, rigging, and complex tree removals.  CDL driver’s license to drive the aerial lift trucks, cranes, or other CDL-required equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Safety: Supervise crew members, conduct daily safety briefings (JHAs), and ensure all safety gear and procedures are followed.
  • Technical Climbing & Removal: Perform high-risk tree removals and precise pruning using specialized gear (saddles, ropes) in urban or utility environments.
  • Rigging & Equipment Operation: Manage complex rigging setups to safely lower limbs. Operate heavy equipment, including cranes, bucket trucks, and chippers.
  • Site Management: Plan job site layout, direct ground support staff, and ensure site cleanup.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding tree health and work details.

Tree Climber/Climbing Arborist

A tree climber/climbing arborist specializes in accessing, trimming, pruning, and removing trees using ropes, harnesses, and specialized equipment. They work at high heights in all weather conditions to perform maintenance or safely remove hazardous trees, demanding high physical stamina, safety consciousness, and proficiency with power tools like chainsaws and brush chippers

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Pruning and Trimming: Cutting away dead, diseased, or obstructive branches to improve the tree’s health and aesthetics.
  • Hazard Mitigation: Removing limbs that pose a threat to property, public safety, or power lines.
  • Health Assessments: Identifying signs of pests, decay, or disease from within the canopy.
  • Rigging and Support: Installing cables or braces to provide structural support to unstable trees.
  • Emergency Services: Clearing storm damage and performing aerial rescues if needed.

Tree Crew Groundman

A tree crew groundman supports arborists by managing ground-level operations, including operating chippers and chainsaws, hauling brush, rigging ropes for tree removal, and maintaining site safety. This physically demanding role requires cleaning work areas, transporting equipment, and preparing for career advancement into climbing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Site Support: Assisting tree climbers with pruning and removals by hauling brush, branches, and logs to the chipper.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain chainsaws, woodchippers, and stump grinders.
  • Rigging and Safety: Using ropes to lower branches, setting up traffic control, and ensuring a hazard-free work zone.
  • Maintenance: Daily maintenance of equipment, including sharpening chains and inspecting tools.
  • Site Cleanup: Cleaning the work site thoroughly after tree work is completed.

Plant Healthcare Technician

A Plant Healthcare (PHC) Technician monitors, diagnoses, and treats trees and shrubs for pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies, primarily using spraying and injection equipment. They work independently in the field to provide fertilization, integrated pest management, and client education, often requiring a pesticide applicator’s license and strong horticultural knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics: Inspect and diagnose landscape plants for insects, diseases, and environmental stressors.
  • Treatments: Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer (liquid, granular, or deep root injections) according to safety regulations.
  • Client Service: Communicate findings, treatment plans, and plant health progress to clients, often acting as a consultant for long-term plant care.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate, clean, and maintain trucks, sprayers, and injection tools.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of chemical applications, site conditions, and work performed
